ABOUT

Thank you for visiting my site. For those of you who don’t yet know, I am a poet, fiber artist, grandmother and education specialist living in Seattle Washington. Born and raised in New Hampshire, I admit I love driving cross country (with the truckers) checking out of hotels at sunrise, chatting over gas tanks & stocking up on popcorn & pink lemonade. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing, M.Ed. in counseling, BA in Education and I am a National Board Certified Special Education Teacher. I have directed childcare centers, taught kindergarten –transition (including teaching poetry & Language Arts) in both the public and private sector, as well as teaching as an adjunct at The University of Washington’s School of Education and Seattle Pacific University. I also co-owned a business (with a librarian) for teachers pursuing their Professional Teaching Certifications as we read, critiqued and provided editing suggestions for state approved portfolios.

Since you’ve come this far, I’d appreciate it if you click through my buttons for select publications, awards/arts/fun, events and my contact information.
